"Electronic music has a unique power — it brings people together, it's a language spoken internationally on the dance floor and it also reaches inward, activating deep emotional and neural pathways that open insight, connection, and healing within ourselves."

Ryan O'Shaunessy, Founder

Medtronica

Who's the Medtronica Community for?

Electronic may serve a different purpose to different people — but everyone’s welcome.

Some of us are here simply because we love the music and — the sound design, the emotion, the movement, the culture.

Others use electronic music for well-being — to cope with stress, anxiety, or difficult periods in life.

Then there are those who discovered this music during a pivotal moment — maybe a difficult time in life and it impacted you. Maybe event kept you going. You might not know how it helps — but you feel it. You want to understand it more deeply, and share that feeling with others who know "The Feeling"

This is a space for listeners, creators, dancers, introverts, neurodivergent minds, curious spirits, late-night thinkers, people in transition, and anyone who believes there is something more to this music— it’s a way of connecting to something bigger.

I'm Ryan

This is my story.

WHO I AM

I’m Ryan — founder of Medtronica Foundation. I’ve personally experienced how overwhelming life can get, and how isolating it is when you don’t have the tools or support to handle it. Music, community, and inner work helped me stabilize and rebuild — and I want others to have access to those same tools.

I’m not a clinician or therapist — I don’t claim authority I don’t have. I’m someone who has been through it and chose to turn my pain into purpose. I started this nonprofit to create a support-driven, stigma-free space for people in our community — whether they’re artists, DJs,  fans, promoters, dancers, or creators — to access real help, real connection, and real chances to grow.

I will always be transparent, human, and honest with this community. This isn’t top-down — it’s built with people, for people.

WHAT I AM

I believe electronic music is more than entertainment or escapism. While I do believe of those things are important  — I find it creates a place for connection, a tool for emotional processing, and a tool for mental clarity. Whether on a dancefloor, in headphones, or in deep listening, this music helps people feel seen, grounded, and less alone.

I believe that when the community is supported — mentally, emotionally, financially — the entire community benefits.

WHAT I AM NOT

I’m not a therapist, a doctor, or a mental-health authority.
I don’t diagnose. I don’t treat. I don’t cure.
I share what I’ve lived, what I’ve learned, and what I continue to discover.

MY PROMISE

I will show up authentically. I will share honestly. I will highlight people of the community, real stories, real tools, real struggles, and real breakthroughs.
I will use Medtronica to advocate for:

  • accessibility in creative culture

  • community support

  • mental-health awareness

  • human connection

My promise is simple:
To give more than I take,
to serve more than I promote,

and to make an impact for the better on this community.

HOW IS THIS
community

SPECIAL?

We are a nonprofit providing real support to people in the electronic music community. We help community members who are struggling — mentally, emotionally, financially, or creatively — by offering resources, support programs, and opportunities that create real upward momentum.

This isn’t a fan club or lifestyle brand. Our focus is tangible impact: helping people access mental health tools, connecting them to supportive community networks, and creating pathways for artists and contributors who don’t have access to funding or opportunities. We do this through private donations and taking a portion of the proceed from the beverage we sell to put back into the community.

We’re building something that invests back into the people who actually are the community, not just the people on stage.

How You Can Help & What You Get Back

1

DONATE:
MAKE AN IMPACT

Your support goes directly toward meaningful initiatives—like covering travel costs, expanding access to therapy, and fueling projects that create real change in people’s lives. This is all documented on the website and on social media.

2

ATTEND OUR POP UPS AND IN-PERSON EVENTS

Be the first to know and get invited to unique community gatherings, pop-ups, and special events that are designed with a focus on the music, our mission, like minded people and bringing all of those ingredients together.

3

OUR BEVERAGE: FUELING THE COMMUNITY

Coming in 2026, we’re launching a functional beverage designed by YOU for the community. A portion of every can sold directly funds the Medtronica Foundation — supporting travel assistance for emerging artists, mental-well-being initiatives, and community resources.

You’ll be able to buy them online or request it at your local venue or club — and every order helps strengthen the culture we care about.

EDUCATION & RESOURCE HUB

Outside of the learning between mental health and electronic music, another way I give back is through education. I've created practical resources on marketing, and self-promotion to equip artists with real-world tools to grow their presence and careers.

The Mission

THE WORK WE DO

Our plans for the future include:

A beverage that gives back to the community.

Creating educational advertising resources to help artists reach new markets and pursue their art as a career.

Listening events.

Small live intimate events, more interviews and documenting the charity we do!

I am most active on Instagram and TikTok so invite you to follow along there or by signing up to our Newsletter below. I've linked all of our social channels on the side of the site.
