WHY SHOULD YOU DONATE AND BECOME A MEMBER

IF YOU ARE...

OPEN & INTERESTED IN GREAT MUSIC

Maybe...

  • You've cried to a Burial track or felt a panic attack ease during a DJ set.

  • You wish electronic music culture talked more openly about mental health.

  • You feel like,: "This track got me through my darkest year" or you want to explore how you use music to unwind.

OR MAYBE YOU'RE

A STRUGGLING FAN:

You're an electronic music fan (techno, ambient, IDM, etc.) and you've experienced:

.

  • Anxiety, depression, loneliness.

  • A sense of isolation even in crowded clubs/raves.

  • A deep emotional connection to certain tracks/artists.

You might not actively talk about mental health, but you feel a deep emotional connecttion through music.

IN THIS COMMUNITY YOU'LL GET:

  • Validation: Proof you're not alone in using music this way.

  • Practical Tools: How to intentionally use music for mood regulation (not just passive listening).  BPM depends upon mood.

  • A Journey: Through club night, by commercial, may have been recommended/ pushed by platform algorithm, some from Pop, EDM, underground.  I.e., older from the 90’s, TikTok music:

    • Notice feeling music gives them but the electronic music has this dopamine reward system, science.  Brain experiencing repetitive and predictable patterns.  Brain starts to identify  through repetition and predictability.  Like rewatching a movie or re-reading a book.  Safe, may look through different lens as they grow up.  Not having to “work at it.”

"It’s the intersection of three pillars—mental health, electronic music & club culture, and holistic well being from an authentic, lived experience perspective."

Ryan O'Shaughnessy

HOW ARE WE DIFFERENT?

Sure, there are other sites for you to check out electronic music, but MEDTRONICA is one-of-a-kind.

There are other mental health sites but they're solely clinical--no music there!

And yes, there are music blogs--but they only cover releases and ignore the emotional impact.

But we lead with transparency, openly sharing how funds and resources are used. Our model is artist‑first, providing access to mental health support, financial aid, and practical education.

Most importantly, we’re focused on building lasting infrastructure that supports the wellness and sustainability of the entire community for the long term.
