The Medtronica Foundation artist travel grant exists to fund emerging electronic music artists who face real financial barriers to attending international events like Amsterdam Dance Event. This post explains exactly what we look for, how the process works, and what makes a strong application.
What We Fund
Artist travel grants from Medtronica cover travel, accommodation, and registration fees for qualifying artists. The current campaign focuses on ADE 2026 (Amsterdam Dance Event, October 2026). We're funding two artists to attend this year — one of the most important events in the global electronic music calendar.
Who Qualifies
Emerging electronic music artists who are actively performing or producing, have a genuine financial barrier to attending the event they're applying for, and can demonstrate how attending would advance their career and serve their community. We prioritize artists from Miami, Montreal, New York, and Amsterdam.
What Makes a Strong Application
Be specific about your financial barrier. Don't just say you can't afford it — explain why. Be specific about why ADE matters for your career at this moment. What would you do there? Who would you meet? What would you bring back to your local scene? The strongest applications show genuine need AND a clear vision for how the opportunity serves both the artist and their community.
How to Apply
Applications are open at medtronica.co/apply. We ask for: your name, email, artist/DJ name, city/country, which opportunity you're applying for, a description of your financial barrier, a link to your music (SoundCloud, Resident Advisor, Spotify, etc.), and why this opportunity matters to your career. Questions: ryan@medtronica.co. Medtronica Foundation Inc is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, EIN: 39-3398419.
